Do I need an activator?
Yes. Alcohol-activated colors only bloom with 99% alcohol or a dedicated palette activator. A palette activator is generally the easier option and is sold separately.
What skin tones does this cover?
The palette includes 12 flesh tones. For tones outside this range, Narrative also offers the Dark Flesh Tone and Complexion palettes.
How is this different from the Complexion palette?
The Flesh Tone palette focuses on a neutral flesh range. The Complexion palette offers a different mix of tones — compare the swatches on each product page to see which better fits your skin-matching needs.
How long does it last?
Alcohol-activated makeup is designed to stay in place through heat, sweat, and movement. It removes with 99% alcohol or a dedicated remover.

Apply 1-3 drops of 99% isopropyl rubbing alcohol or Narrative Cosmetics Activator directly into the palette cell. Allow the alcohol to soak into the color for several seconds for a more opaque application.
